Our workforce development initiatives create pathways for students and emerging professionals to explore careers, build meaningful relationships, and gain real-world experience. Through Presidio Scholars, the foundation's flagship initiative, we connect underrepresented students with mentorship, industry exposure, and hands-on learning designed to expand access to careers in commercial real estate and the built environment.
We believe arts and culture are essential to vibrant, connected communities. Through Shifting Studios, we connect artists with vacant commercial real estate, transforming dormant properties into free, temporary, and functional creative spaces. By bridging the worlds of art and real estate, we expand access to creative opportunity, activate underused spaces, and support the artists and cultural voices that shape the identity of our cities.

Our civic engagement work brings together residents, leaders, businesses, and community partners to strengthen connections, celebrate local identity, and create meaningful opportunities for people to engage with the cities and neighborhoods around them.

The Presidio Scholars Program is an in-person summer experience that introduces college students from historically underrepresented and under-resourced backgrounds to career pathways across the real estate development industry.
Through hands-on learning, Scholars explore the disciplines that shape the built environment while working in teams to develop a proposal for a real San Francisco property. Along the way, they gain real-world exposure through mentorship, professional development, networking, and behind-the-scenes industry experiences, building the skills, confidence, and connections to pursue future opportunities in the field.
